Sika Gallery focuses on emerging Indonesian art and innovative practice. Since the opening in 1996 in Ubud, Bali. The gallery constantly nurtures emerging art, promoting it internationally in curated exhibitions, art fairs and placing works in private and museum collections. The gallery is renowned for realizing first or early shows with artists who have subsequently gone on to major careers, such as I Made Djirna, Made Wianta, Nyoman Masriadi, Nyoman Erawan, Agung Mangu Putra, Putu Suta Wijaya, Pande Taman, Krisna Murti and many more. An epicenter of the gallery practice is the support of innovative practice, showcasing event based performance, video art to the main programed.
Sika Gallery also supports curators and Indonesian art institutions as part of their extended network.
